《不似預期的供應》
4 你要喝那溪裏的水，我已吩咐烏鴉在那裏供養你。」5 於是以利亞照著耶和華的話，去住在約旦河東的基立溪旁。6烏鴉早晚給他叼餅和肉來，他也喝那溪裏的水。7 過了些日子，溪水就乾了，因為雨沒有下在地上。8 耶和華的話臨到他說：9「你起身往西頓的撒勒法去，住在那裏；我已吩咐那裏的一個寡婦供養你。」10 以利亞就起身往撒勒法去。到了城門，見有一個寡婦在那裏撿柴，以利亞呼叫她說：「求你用器皿取點水來給我喝。」11 她去取水的時候，以利亞又呼叫她說：「也求你拿點餅來給我！」12 她說：「我指著永生耶和華－你的神起誓，我沒有餅，罈內只有一把麵，瓶裏只有一點油；我現在找兩根柴，回家要為我和我兒子做餅；我們吃了，死就死吧！」13 以利亞對她說：「不要懼怕！可以照你所說的去做吧！只要先為我做一個小餅拿來給我，然後為你和你的兒子做餅。14 因為耶和華－以色列的神如此說：罈內的麵必不減少，瓶裏的油必不缺短，直到耶和華使雨降在地上的日子。」15 婦人就照以利亞的話去行。她和她家中的人，並以利亞，吃了許多日子。16 罈內的麵果不減少，瓶裏的油也不缺短，正如耶和華藉以利亞所說的話。 (列王紀上十七4-16)
4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.” 5 So he did what the Lord had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the Lord came to him: 9 “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.” 10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, “Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?” 11 As she was going to get it, he called, “And bring me, please, a piece of bread.” 12 “As surely as the Lord your God lives,” she replied, “I don’t have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die.” 13 Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.’” 15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah. (1King 17: 4-16)
分享：在今天的經文中，上帝為以利亞準備了一個不似預期的供應。第一、上帝叫不潔的烏鴉 (參利未記十一15及申命記十四14) 供養以利亞；第二、上帝叫一個異國的寡婦照顧以利亞。這兩件事都與以利亞所持守的傳統價值觀互相違背，甚至衝擊著他的生活習慣。為什麼上帝會如此安排呢？
隨著以利亞為上帝宣告旱災即將降臨，上帝審判以色列王亞哈和百姓也快將開始。以利亞宣講後按上帝指示退到基勒河邊，那裡有溪水可以飲用，又有烏鴉運送食物給他，直到河水乾旱為止。上帝讓以利亞退到基勒河和撒勒法，以避開所有想尋找他的人，同時也要保護以利亞。不過，這次撤退行動並不舒適，他要獨自一人前往目的地，更需要望天打卦，等待烏鴉所叨來的肉；後來，在寡婦的家，那裡就只有一把麵，什麼也沒有。縱使撤退行動對他多有衝擊，以利亞仍然忠心順服，遵循上帝的指示而行。
上帝使用許多反常規的方法來供應以利亞，這帶給我們有什麼啓示呢？對於以利亞來說，上帝除了作出不合乎以色列傳統的行動外，更不合常理地把他帶到敵人耶洗別的故鄉，亦是巴力神的領土。然而，上帝就是要他如此行，更預早為他安排好一切。當以利亞順服遵照上帝的話而行時，他就第一身見証著上帝的能力。反常的神蹟 —— 烏鴉真的供養以利亞，而寡婦有用不盡的麵粉和油，亦令以利亞知道上帝一直用祂的方法為自己帶來最意想不到的貼身保護，同時也令這名寡婦看見上帝，並嘗到上帝的祝福。
透過以利亞的經歷，我們應明白聽命勝於一切、民族律法、傳統價值觀等規範；我們只要定睛仰望上帝，並與祂建立更親密的關係。今天，有什麼傳統或文化正阻礙你與上帝建立親密的關係？有什麼令你不能順服祂的引領？要記得，沒有任何一樣傳統智慧比得上上帝的話語。
反思：當上帝使用反常理的方法時，你會甘心跟隨，還是推三推四呢？
禱告：親愛的天父，求祢賜我有一顆單單願意信靠祢的心，並超越世上的一切，讓我們也學像以利亞，聽命勝於一切。奉主名求，阿們。
