《遠離情慾的智慧》
1 所羅門王在法老的女兒之外，又寵愛許多外邦女子，就是摩押女子、亞捫女子、以東女子、西頓女子、赫人女子。 2論到這些國的人，耶和華曾曉諭以色列人說：「你們不可與她們往來相通，因為她們必誘惑你們的心去隨從她們的神。」所羅門卻戀愛這些女子。 3 所羅門有妃七百，都是公主；還有嬪三百。這些妃嬪誘惑他的心。 4 所羅門年老的時候，他的妃嬪誘惑他的心去隨從別神，不效法他父親大衛誠誠實實地順服耶和華－他的上帝。 5 因為所羅門隨從西頓人的女神亞斯她錄和亞捫人可憎的神米勒公。 6 所羅門行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，不效法他父親大衛專心順從耶和華。 7所羅門為摩押可憎的神基抹和亞捫人可憎的神摩洛，在耶路撒冷對面的山上建築邱壇。 8 他為那些向自己的神燒香獻祭的外邦女子，就是他娶來的妃嬪也是這樣行。9 耶和華向所羅門發怒，因為他的心偏離向他兩次顯現的耶和華－以色列的上帝。 10 耶和華曾吩咐他不可隨從別神，他卻沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐的。 11 所以耶和華對他說：「你既行了這事，不遵守我所吩咐你守的約和律例，我必將你的國奪回，賜給你的臣子。 12 然而，因你父親大衛的緣故，我不在你活着的日子行這事，必從你兒子的手中將國奪回。 13 只是我不將全國奪回，要因我僕人大衛和我所選擇的耶路撒冷，還留一支派給你的兒子。」(列王紀上十一1-13)
16 因為，凡世界上的事，就像肉體的情慾、眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲，都不是從父來的，乃是從世界來的。 17 這世界和其上的情慾都要過去，惟獨遵行上帝旨意的，是永遠常存。(約翰壹書二16-17)
1 King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh’s daughter—Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hittites. 2 They were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites, “You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods.” Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love. 3 He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. 4 As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been. 5 He followed Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. 6 So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done. 7 On a hill east of Jerusalem, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the detestable god of Moab, and for Molek the detestable god of the Ammonites. 8He did the same for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and offered sacrifices to their gods. 9 The Lord became angry with Solomon because his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice. 10 Although he had forbidden Solomon to follow other gods, Solomon did not keep the Lord’s command. 11 So the Lord said to Solomon, “Since this is your attitude and you have not kept my covenant and my decrees, which I commanded you, I will most certainly tear the kingdom away from you and give it to one of your subordinates. 12 Nevertheless, for the sake of David your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son. 13 Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom from him, but will give him one tribe for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.” (1 Kings 11: 1-13)

分享：今天要分享的智慧，是所羅門沒有的智慧，就是遠離情慾的智慧。所羅門 —— 擁有超然智慧的忠心僕人，最後都被情慾支配，以致終結不好，更為往後以色列的分裂埋下了伏筆。
經文形容所羅門「寵愛許多外邦女子，就是摩押女子、亞捫女子、以東女子、西頓女子、赫人女子⋯⋯ 有妃七百，都是公主；還有嬪三百。」(參v.1, 3) 最後他更被這些女子誘惑，使他去隨從別神，不再敬拜獨一的耶和華。所羅門可說是由一代名君，突然變成了荒淫無道的昏君，全因為他沒有小心提防情慾的事。或許我們會感到驚訝，為什麼如此有智慧的忠僕，也會被此等情慾的事誘惑了？筆者有以下的兩個分析。
1. 愛人過於愛上帝。還記得《列王紀上三》 曾形容所羅門愛上帝，然而晚年的所羅門愛人的心早已過於愛上帝了。「所羅門愛耶和華」(參王上三3) 與「又寵愛許多外邦女子」(參王上十一1) 這兩句經文帶出了很強烈的對比。愛上帝的心沒有了，罪就會乘虛而入。
2. 沒保守自己的心。有人這樣形容：「心比腳更早走在試探的路上。」意思即是要小心你的心思意念，因為那是罪惡萌芽的起始。《箴言》中有70多次提到「心」。這個字可指我們的嗜好、知識、情緒、熱情、計劃、動機、傾向和選擇⋯⋯ 最重要的是，我們要看守我們內在的生命，因為一生的果效，是由心發出。(參箴言四23)。所羅門跌倒，是因為他的心已經被罪佔據了。
有學者分析《傳道書》，認為所羅門後來有徹底的悔改。那時他了解到：人生全然是虛空！他看破一切，回到原點，其結論是「今生一切是虛空」。這正是《約翰壹書二16-17》的提醒：「16 因為，凡世界上的事，就像肉體的情慾、眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲，都不是從父來的，乃是從世界來的。 17 這世界和其上的情慾都要過去，惟獨遵行上帝旨意的，是永遠常存。」然而，為什麼人寧願選擇「會過去的錯事」，而不選擇「永遠常存的真道」呢？愚蠢與智慧之間，你又會怎樣選擇呢？
反思：你的心正在被什麼充滿著？請再讀一次《約翰壹書二16-17》，聖靈給你什麼提醒？
禱告：親愛的天父，感謝祢這幾天透過所羅門王的生平，教導我們不同的智慧。求祢叫我們效法他的上半場，開始得好，活出美麗的見證榮耀祢名。同時，也叫我們以他的下半場為鑒誡，叫我們要謹守你的命令，提防肉體的情慾、眼目的情慾，並今生的驕傲。以上禱告，奉主耶穌得勝的名求，阿們。
