《誰是得勝的王？》
28「主耶和華啊，惟有祢是上帝。祢的話是真實的；祢也應許將這福氣賜給僕人。29 現在求祢賜福與僕人的家，可以永存在祢面前。主耶和華啊，這是祢所應許的。願祢永遠賜福與僕人的家！」(撒母耳記下七28-29)
1 此後，大衛攻打非利士人，把他們治服，從他們手下奪取了京城的權柄；2 又攻打摩押人，使他們躺臥在地上，用繩量一量：量二繩的殺了，量一繩的存留。摩押人就歸服大衛，給他進貢。3 瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝往大河去，要奪回他的國權。大衛就攻打他，4 擒拿了他的馬兵一千七百，步兵二萬，將拉戰車的馬砍斷蹄筋，但留下一百輛車的馬。5 大馬士革的亞蘭人來幫助瑣巴王哈大底謝，大衛就殺了亞蘭人二萬二千。6 於是大衛在大馬士革的亞蘭地設立防營，亞蘭人就歸服他，給他進貢。大衛無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。7 他奪了哈大底謝臣僕所拿的金盾牌，帶到耶路撒冷。8 大衛王又從屬哈大底謝的比他和比羅他城中奪取了許多的銅。9 哈馬王陀以聽見大衛殺敗哈大底謝的全軍，10 就打發他兒子約蘭去見大衛王，問他的安，為他祝福，因為他殺敗了哈大底謝（原來陀以與哈大底謝常常爭戰）。約蘭帶了金銀銅的器皿來，11 大衛王將這些器皿和他治服各國所得來的金銀都分別為聖，獻給耶和華，12 就是從亞蘭、摩押、亞捫、非利士、亞瑪力人所得來的，以及從瑣巴王利合的兒子哈大底謝所掠之物。13 大衛在鹽谷擊殺了亞蘭一萬八千人回來，就得了大名；14 又在以東全地設立防營，以東人就都歸服大衛。大衛無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。15 大衛作以色列眾人的王，又向眾民秉公行義。16 洗魯雅的兒子約押作元帥；亞希律的兒子約沙法作史官；17 亞希突的兒子撒督和亞比亞他的兒子亞希米勒作祭司長；西萊雅作書記；18 耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅統轄基利提人和比利提人。大衛的眾子都作領袖。(撒母耳記下八1-18)
27“Lord Almighty, God of Israel, you have revealed this to your servant, saying, ‘I will build a house for you.’ So your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you. 28Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant. 29Now be pleased to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever in your sight; for you, Sovereign Lord, have spoken, and with your blessing the house of your servant will be blessed forever.” (2 Samuel 7:27-28)
1In the course of time, David defeated the Philistines and subdued them, and he took Metheg Ammah from the control of the Philistines. 2David also defeated the Moabites. He made them lie down on the ground and measured them off with a length of cord. Every two lengths of them were put to death, and the third length was allowed to live. So the Moabites became subject to David and brought him tribute.
3Moreover, David defeated Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, when he went to restore his monument at the Euphrates River. 4David captured a thousand of his chariots, seven thousand charioteers and twenty thousand foot soldiers. He hamstrung all but a hundred of the chariot horses. 5When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck down twenty-two thousand of them. 6He put garrisons in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to him and brought tribute. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went. 7David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem. 8From Tebah and Berothai, towns that belonged to Hadadezer, King David took a great quantity of bronze. 9When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer, 10he sent his son Joram to King David to greet him and congratulate him on his victory in battle over Hadadezer, who had been at war with Tou. Joram brought with him articles of silver, of gold and of bronze. 11King David dedicated these articles to the Lord, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued: 12Edom and Moab, the Ammonites and the Philistines, and Amalek. He also dedicated the plunder taken from Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah. 13And David became famous after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.
14He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites became subject to David. The Lord gave David victory wherever he went. 15David reigned over all Israel, doing what was just and right for all his people. 16Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was recorder; 17Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelek son of Abiathar were priests; Seraiah was secretary; 18Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Kerethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were priests. (2 Samuel 8:1-18)

分享：《撒母耳記下七》 記述了一件事，當大衛把上帝的約櫃運回耶路撒冷後，他希望為上帝建造皇宮。雖然上帝不允許，但也欣賞大衛的忠心，於是再一次應許與一直大衛同在，堅定他的國。大衛聽從命令後，向上帝獻上感恩禱告，再次宣告「惟有祢是上帝。祢的話是真實的」。(參撒下七28-29)
然後，上帝的應許繼續在《撒母耳記下八》應驗。在連串的軍事勝利裡，大衛擴展了以色列的疆界。在經文中兩次提到大衛戰無不勝的原因：「大衛無論往哪裏去，耶和華都使他得勝。」(參v.6, v.14) 雖不能抹煞大衛的驍勇善戰，不過從早年對抗巨人歌利亞開始，直到作王時，他的得勝原因始終不變：無論面對什麼敵人，他總是因上帝而得勝。(撒下八的標題是：耶和華使大衛得勝)
得勝是一件吸引的事，但更吸引的是固中的秘訣，因此坊間有很多成功人事分享「秘訣」的書籍。從大衛的得勝可見，屬靈與現實生活是緊密相連的。他的得勝不是偶爾而來，而是建基於跟上帝的親密關係。一本分享成功秘訣的書籍《Good to Great》當中以雞蛋孵化作比喻。當一隻雞蛋孵化時，就是最令眾人感動的一刻，也可說是成功的一刻。然而，是什麼成就這一刻？就是之前數個月的每一刻。對於雞蛋來說，孵化只是整個過程的其中一步而已。
各位，得勝並非一朝一夕的事，也不是盲目追求神跡奇事。每當我們在生活中面對挑戰時，但願我們都能像大衛一樣，將焦點放在上帝的帶領與保護上。我們通過日常的禱告和讀經，來與上帝建立親密的關係，並相信無論面對何種困難，上帝都會與我們同行，賜下智慧和力量。
誰是得勝的王？主，是祢！
反思：你渴望像大衛般得勝嗎？那麼你願意跟上帝建立親密的關係嗎？
禱告：親愛的天父，感謝祢藉着大衛的得勝提醒我們：得勝的秘訣在於祢！祢是得勝的主，更是使人得勝的主！求祢叫我們效法大衛，每天與祢親近，與祢建立親密的關係。以上禱告，奉主耶穌得勝的名求，阿們。
