《士師vs自私》Day 15
同歸於盡的參孫
23 非利士人的首領聚集，要給他們的神大袞獻大祭，並且歡樂，因為他們說：「我們的神將我們的仇敵參孫交在我們手中了。」 24 眾人看見參孫，就讚美他們的神說：「我們的神將毀壞我們地、殺害我們許多人的仇敵交在我們手中了。」 25 他們正宴樂的時候，就說：「叫參孫來，在我們面前戲耍戲耍。」於是將參孫從監裏提出來，他就在眾人面前戲耍。他們使他站在兩柱中間。 26 參孫向拉他手的童子說：「求你讓我摸着托房的柱子，我要靠一靠。」 27 那時房內充滿男女，非利士人的眾首領也都在那裏。房的平頂上約有三千男女觀看參孫戲耍。28 參孫求告耶和華說：「主耶和華啊，求祢眷念我。上帝啊，求祢賜我這一次的力量，使我在非利士人身上報那剜我雙眼的仇。」 29 參孫就抱住托房的那兩根柱子：左手抱一根，右手抱一根， 30 說：「我情願與非利士人同死！」就盡力屈身，房子倒塌，壓住首領和房內的眾人。這樣，參孫死時所殺的人比活着所殺的還多。 31 參孫的弟兄和他父的全家都下去取他的屍首，擡上來葬在瑣拉和以實陶中間，在他父瑪挪亞的墳墓裏。參孫作以色列的士師二十年。(士師記十六23-31)
23 Now the rulers of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, saying, “Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands.” 24 When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying, “Our god has delivered our enemy into our hands, the one who laid waste our land and multiplied our slain.” 25 While they were in high spirits, they shouted, “Bring out Samson to entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he performed for them. When they stood him among the pillars, 26 Samson said to the servant who held his hand, “Put me where I can feel the pillars that support the temple, so that I may lean against them.” 27 Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform. 28 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.” 29 Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other, 30 Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived. 31 Then his brothers and his father’s whole family went down to get him. They brought him back and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led Israel twenty years. (Judges 16:23-31)

士師：參孫 (Samson)

分享：正如前幾天的分享，參孫的人生使人又愛又恨：作為一位被神揀選的拿細耳人，他擁有巨大的力量，但卻頻繁地陷入誘惑，任意妄為。儘管如此，在他生命的最後一刻，仍應驗了上帝的命定：「他必起首拯救以色列人脫離非利士人的手」(參士師記十三5)，甚至聖經形容「參孫死時所殺的人比活着所殺的還多」(參v.30)。
參孫被捉拿後，非利士人的首領為慶祝他們的神大袞戰勝了參孫而聚集。參孫在監獄裡受盡屈辱，成為敵人的玩物。然而，在被帶到大袞廟中作為表演的奴隸時，參孫求告耶和華說：「主耶和華啊，求祢眷念我。上帝啊，求祢賜我這一次的力量，使我在非利士人身上報那剜我雙眼的仇。」(v.28) 這結局的爭論點在於參孫的動機。有的認為最後參孫希望為上帝做點事情，特別是因為參孫的名字也記在《希伯來書》信心偉人之列 (參希伯來書十一32)；然而，單從他的禱告內容而言，有的認為他只是為了報仇而已。
若然參孫來到最後終於醒悟，履行了上帝給他對抗非利士人的使命，這的確是「遲到好過無到」，臨死之前能夠悔改也為時未晚。相反，若然參孫臨死前仍然只是為了一己私心，只想報仇，他就可以被稱為最自私的士師了。然而，無論參孫的動機如何，也無阻上帝成就祂的拯救計劃。
各位，你喜歡參孫這樣同歸於盡的結局嗎？你會給這樣的結局多少分？ 的確，參孫最後仍然能夠殺死很多非利士人。然而，筆者相信如果他能夠專心跟從上帝、忠於上帝的旨意，他的結局必定會更加美好，他能夠做到的事必定更多、更大、更震撼！同樣，今天你正在怎樣跟從上帝呢？你又期望你的結局如何呢？

禱告：親愛的天父，感謝祢透過不同的士師提醒我們，當專心跟從祢並忠於祢的旨意，祢必會給我們力量去面對一切。求祢幫助我們認識自己的軟弱，並在試探中選擇信靠祢。願我們的生命能夠榮耀祢，並在祢的愛中不斷成長。以上禱告，奉主耶穌得勝的名求，阿們。
