《豬:要遠離不潔》

耶和華對摩西、亞倫說: 2 「你們曉諭以色列人說,在地上一切走獸中可吃的乃是這些:3 凡蹄分兩瓣、倒嚼的走獸,你們都可以吃。4 但那倒嚼或分蹄之中不可吃的乃是:駱駝-因為倒嚼不分蹄,就與你們不潔淨;沙番-因為倒嚼不分蹄,就與你們不潔淨; 6 兔子-因為倒嚼不分蹄,就與你們不潔淨;豬-因為蹄分兩瓣,卻不倒嚼,就與你們不潔淨。8 這些獸的肉,你們不可吃;死的,你們不可摸,都與你們不潔淨。(利未記十一1-8)

俗語說得真不錯:狗所吐的,牠轉過來又吃;豬洗淨了又回到泥裏去滾;這話在他們身上正合式。(彼得後書二22)

11 在那裏山坡上,有一大羣豬吃食; 12 鬼就央求耶穌說:「求祢打發我們往豬羣裏,附着豬去。」 13 耶穌准了他們,污鬼就出來,進入豬裏去。於是那羣豬闖下山崖,投在海裏,淹死了。豬的數目約有二千。(馬可福音五11-13)

1 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 2 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat: 3 You may eat any animal that has a divided hoof and that chews the cud. 4 “ ‘There are some that only chew the cud or only have a divided hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you. 5 The hyrax, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you. 6 The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you. 7 And the pig, though it has a divided hoof, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. 8 You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you. (Leviticus 11:1-8)

Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.” (2 Peter 2:22)

11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned. (Mark 5:11-13)

分享:豬肉,是全球消費量最高的肉類之一,特別在亞洲地區更常是餐桌主角。然而,許多宗教 (如猶太教、伊斯蘭教等) 至今仍視豬為不潔的動物並禁止食用。雖然現代科學已能透過高溫烹調與衛生處理去除風險,豬肉依舊帶著一種「宗教上的敏感」。在聖經裡,豬不只是身體層面的不潔,更代表屬靈上的污穢與遠離神的生活方式。

舊約中,豬被明確列為「不潔之物」—— 不可吃、不可摸 (
參利未記十一1-8),與駱駝、沙番、兔子並列。這些飲食律法不只是衛生條例,更是神對以色列人的屬靈操練:要在飲食中學習分別為聖、敬畏神。到了新約,這不再是律法的要求,但豬仍被比喻為不潔的象徵。彼得這樣說:「豬洗淨了又回到泥裡去滾」(參彼得後書二22),形容那些明白真理卻仍執意回到敗壞行為中的人。這句話提醒我們:信仰不只是悔改一次,而是要不斷活出聖潔生命。

耶穌在《馬可福音五1-13》曾將污鬼從一人身上趕出,牠們請求進入豬群,結果那兩千頭豬立刻衝下山崖投海自盡。這畫面震撼人心:豬成為無法承載邪靈與重擔的器皿,最終走向毀滅。這些經文共同發出警告:遠離罪與污穢,不與世界妥協,不重回過去的泥沼。

約翰衛斯理 (John Wesley) 認為「潔淨的內心是神國的入場券。」他年輕時原是個
靠敬虔行為的人,直到在倫敦「心靈火熱」的那晚,他明白了因信稱義的真理,並從此活出聖潔的生命。他拒絕虛假的敬虔形式,並帶動聖潔運動,使千萬人從「宗教行為」轉向與神建立「真實關係」。

今天神仍對我們說:「你們要聖潔,因為我耶和華-你們的神是聖潔的。」(參利未記十九2) 讓我們謹記:基督徒可以吃豬,但不能活得像豬。讓我們棄絕污穢,活出聖潔的見證。

反思:你怎樣理解「聖潔」?你目前的生活方式,是否反映出這份對神分別為聖的渴望?你如何分辨現今社會中那些看似「可接受」但實則引你遠離神的事物?

禱告:親愛的天父,感謝祢賜下真理指引方向,使我們能明辨潔淨與不潔。求祢幫助我們不要只滿足於外在的敬虔,乃是看重清潔的心。主啊,我們承認自己有時像那洗淨後又回到泥沼的豬,重蹈覆轍、遠離祢的心意。求祢藉著聖靈光照並潔淨我們的心,讓我們遠離屬靈的污穢,活出分別為聖的生命。願我們行事為人與蒙召的恩相稱,榮耀祢的名。以上禱告,奉主耶穌得勝的名求,阿們。
